Project management & client delivery.

Thirteen years of delivering for clients — regulatory programs with 5+ person teams at a Big Four firm and my own consultancy, and solo engagements run end-to-end. Three hats, one throughline: scope honestly, communicate relentlessly, and stay accountable for the outcome long after go-live.

Project Management
  • Requirements → work breakdown → milestone plan, with explicit scope and change control.
  • Steering-ready status reporting: decisions and risks, not activity logs.
  • Delivery to fixed external deadlines — regulators and live trading hours don't move.
Customer Success
  • A portfolio of long-term banking clients — engagements that started as a single review grew into multi-year programs.
  • Renewals and expansions earned through delivery; references from finished projects, not pitches.
  • Staying engaged after go-live: support models, training and the next problem on the client's list.
Forward-Deployed
  • Embedded with the client's own teams, on-site or as their remote counterpart.
  • The bridge between the client and the quants: business and regulatory needs translated into precise technical tasks — and results translated back.
  • Tools implemented inside the client's environment, with their people trained to run them.
Program Lead — Quant Research Program, delivered with an AI agent team
Private Platform — Remote
2025 – Present
  • Ran a ~70-strategy research program where AI agents implement and independently review every task — the PM artifacts are the system: schema-validated handoffs, run-state ledgers, per-strategy RUNS.md logs.
  • Escalation policy encoded, not improvised: after two failed develop+review rounds an instructor role rewrites the task or parks it with a question a human answers in one message — parked work never blocks the batch.
  • Budget management as tiering: light / standard / critical model tiers per task, heavy capacity serialized, narrow-checklist reviews for template repeats.
  • Formal go-live gate series (data audit → bias review → freeze → parity → order layer → replay) with defect ledgers per gate.

Project Manager & Lead Developer — IBKR/AWS Trading Stack (solo)
Private Trading Client — Remote
2026 – Present
  • Ran the engagement end-to-end: requirements workshops with the client, delivery plan in Jira, architecture, production rollout and handover.
  • Milestones sequenced around the client's live trading hours — every deployment window planned with a rollback path; zero trading interruptions across the migration.
  • Weekly demos and written status; scope changes went through an explicit change log, never silent drift.
  • Acceptance defined as evidence, not opinion: per-milestone smoke tests and a daily reconciliation report the client reads without me.

Project Manager & Lead Developer — Sierra Chart Studies (solo)
Private Trading Client — Remote
2025 – Present
  • Product-style delivery for a paying trading community: feature requests triaged with the client in Jira, releases gated on client sign-off.
  • Managed two release tracks — a tuning build for the study owner and a locked production build for members — so experiments never leaked to paying users.
  • Designed support into the product: members email a one-file diagnostic report instead of screenshots, cutting support round-trips per issue.

2025
  • Turned a fuzzy ask ("stop managing member access by hand") into a scoped three-integration delivery with a fixed timeline, tracked in Jira.
  • Shipped self-service onboarding for community members and automatic revocation on churn — the manual process disappeared entirely.
  • Wrote the runbook and handed over operations; the system has run without me since.

Project Manager & Lead Developer — Algo Platform (solo)
Private Project — Remote
2022 – 2025
  • Phased roadmap where every phase shipped something usable on its own: data/charting layer → strategy analytics → live execution → ML research.
  • Solo PM discipline over three years: backlog in Jira, milestone demos, and scope cut deliberately when research showed a dead end — sunk cost never drove the plan.
  • Delivered against a moving target (live markets) by separating stable infrastructure from experimental strategy work.

Project Manager & Lead Developer — Property Automation (solo)
Remote Property Management — Ljubljana / Remote
2022 – Present
  • Owns an operations-critical system end-to-end: guests arrive whether the software works or not, so reliability is a delivery requirement, not a nice-to-have.
  • Coordinated five external parties — channel manager, smart-lock vendor, invoicing platform, cleaning service and the national guest registry — into one automated workflow, backlog in Jira.
  • Planned and executed a full serverless re-platform onto AWS around live guest bookings, with zero disruption (see the Cloud Compute page).

Project Manager & Lead Developer — Venue Camera Systems (solo)
Koren Sports d.o.o. — Slovenia / Austria / Multiple Venues
2021 – Present
  • Ran a multi-venue hardware + software rollout: pilot venue first, then staged expansion — every on-site risk discovered once, at the pilot, tracked in Jira.
  • Coordinated hardware vendors, venue operations staff and commissioning windows so installs never blocked a running attraction.
  • Designed the support model for remote sites up front — watchdogs, VPN access and alerting — so issues are fixed before the next visitor run, not after a complaint.

Co-Founder — Client Programs, Customer Success & Forward-Deployed Delivery
Econlab d.o.o. — Slovenia / Ireland
2018 – 2023
  • Co-founded a risk-advisory consultancy and owned the client side of the business: sales, scoping, staffing, delivery — and the relationship after go-live.
  • Customer success with banking clients: engagements that began as a single model validation grew into multi-year modeling programs; renewals and expansions were earned through delivery, and new work came from references, not cold pitching.
  • Forward-deployed by design: embedded with each bank's risk team as their day-to-day counterpart — I translated their regulatory and business needs into precise tasks for our quant team, and brought the quants' results back as decisions the bank could sign off.
  • Delivered models and tooling into the bank's own environment, with the bank's people trained to run and defend them in front of auditors and the regulator.
  • Program lead for IRB models at Ireland's second-largest bank and at Slovenian banks — scope, work breakdown, milestone plan and sign-off; led teams of 5+, steering-ready reporting in Jira.

2015 – 2017
  • Project manager for IFRS 9 / ECL and risk engagements at a Big Four firm; led teams of 5+ consultants, quants and analysts.
  • Owned work plans, budgets and timelines across parallel audit and advisory workstreams — resource planning, quality review, profitability, tracked in Jira.
  • Client communication from working level up to CFO and steering committee; repeat engagements won on delivery, season after season.

Financial Risk Manager — Delivery & Reporting Cycles
Gorenjska Banka d.d. — Slovenia
2013 – 2015
  • Coordinated recurring regulatory reporting cycles across finance, risk and IT — fixed external deadlines, no slippage: the "client" was the regulator.
  • Developed and delivered credit, liquidity and market risk models to those timelines.
  • Automated the reporting workflow (Oracle SQL, VBA) so each cycle got more predictable and less manual than the last.
